Exam Integrity Policy

The credibility of every ITEP EXAM certificate depends on the integrity of our examination process. We take exam security extremely seriously.

Fullscreen Lockdown

When a candidate begins the examination, the browser is automatically placed into fullscreen mode. The exam cannot be taken in a windowed or minimized state. This prevents candidates from accessing external resources, notes, or translation tools during the test.

Tab & Window Monitoring

Our system continuously monitors browser focus. If a candidate switches to another tab, window, or application during the exam, the system immediately detects this action and issues a formal warning. This includes Alt+Tab, Command+Tab, and any form of browser navigation away from the exam page.

Three-Strike Warning System

Candidates receive a maximum of three warnings for integrity violations. Each violation (exiting fullscreen, switching tabs, etc.) triggers a prominent on-screen alert. Upon the third violation, the exam is automatically terminated and the candidate receives a score of zero. No refund is issued for integrity-based terminations.

Content Protection

During the examination, the following actions are disabled to prevent content theft and sharing:

  • Right-click context menu is disabled
  • Text selection (highlighting) is disabled
  • Copy and paste keyboard shortcuts are blocked
  • Screenshot tools are discouraged via fullscreen mode

Strict Time Enforcement

Each exam has a fixed time limit of 60 minutes. The timer begins once the candidate clicks “Start Exam” and cannot be paused, extended, or reset. If the timer reaches zero, the exam is automatically submitted with only the answers provided up to that point.

⚠️ Important Notice

Any attempt to circumvent these security measures, share exam content, use unauthorized tools (including AI assistants, translation software, or second devices), or have another person take the exam on your behalf constitutes a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account suspension, certificate revocation, and forfeiture of all fees paid.
